Mystery shopping is very popular because it can be so much fun.

One must possess the ability to write a report in chronological order so that the Owner or Manager can see from the beginning to the end of the visit what took place. CREATING A PICTURE!

Remembering all pertinent data and successfully conveying that information to the client is not something that is easily done for a lot of people who want to do mystery shopping.

We therefore will require a rigorous initial 3-step screening process.

• Determine if you have the computer qualifications necessary to do the job.

• Take a “mock test”. (This will provide a clear indication if you have the writing skills necessary to do the job).

• Complete registration paperwork.

• Candidate must possess a computer with Microsoft Word 97 or later and a basic e-mail service which allows you to retrieve and send attachments with graphics.
  • Web TV, Netscape, and Opera do not adequately support graphic based emails
• Preferable browser is Internet Explorer
• All report submissions are done via-email.
• Anti-virus software installed on your computer.
• Candidates should be computer literate with sending and retrieving e-mails with attachments.
• Must type 35-45 wpm and perform light data entry skills.
• Special consideration will be given to those shoppers who have a fax.
• Candidates must articulate well in writing what transpired during the shopping experience.
• Reliable and dependable candidates receive preference.

Reports must be written and completed by the assignment due dates, including follow-up.

If this does not happen, you will be eliminated from our list of shoppers.
 

PROCESS FOR SCHEDULING SHOPPING ASSIGNMENTS

1. Acceptance as an independent contractor
2. Notification of assignments are done verbally by telephone and/or via e-mail.
3. We may place higher consideration to independent contractors with fax capability.
4. All reports are to be typed and transmitted via email.
5. Shopper has the option to accept or decline Southwest Evaluations & Consulting assignment which will not jeopardize future assignments.

If you are interested, and would like to progress to Step II then you need to read the scenario document (Mock Test Scenario.doc) and then fill out the report document (MockReport.doc).  If prompted to choose enable or disable macros when opening the document, choose 'Disable Macros'.  Complete the report in Microsoft Word 97 or higher.  Send the finished report as an email attachment to newshoppers@southwestevaluations.com
